Sandbag no more: It's Scot, Big Bertha and Wilson to the rescue
There are a few hot new items you’ll want to check out before you hit your favorite Morris course or driving range this season. For starters, the Tommy Armour three-wheel golf carts are newly designed this year, according to Chris Fuentes, sales associate at Sports Authority in the Ledgewood Mall. The two most popular sellers at the Ledgewood store are the Hot Scot, on sale for $69.99 (originally $89.99) and the SilverScot, $89.99 (originally $139.99).
“The main reason these carts are so hot is the wheels are better,” Fuentes says. “They have rims, unlike previous models, which had cheap plastic wheels.”
SilverScot features: Lightweight aluminum frame, adjustable contoured handle, strong dual-frame chassis, waterproof scorecard holder, chrome-spoke wheels, anti-slide tires, available in grey.
Hot Scot features: Lightweight aluminum frame, contoured handle, strong wide-tube chassis, waterproof scorecard holder, two-step folding design, chrome spoke wheels, 12-inch rear and 10-inch front wheels, available in blue and silver.

Make way for the Big Bertha Diablo, one of Callaway’s newest all-titanium clubhead drivers. The cutting-edge Hyperbolic Face Technology, which redefines the look, feel and speed at which the ball leaves the clubface, allows for a larger sweet spot and improved distance.
You can find it at Clubhouse Golf Center, an indoor/outdoor golf facility in Randolph, where it’s on sale for $299. Clubhouse Golf, which is owned by Sam and Kate Altiero, is considered one of the best ranges in the Northeast by many golf pros and customers.
“It’s a superb driver, and since we offer custom fitting by our expert club fitter, who has more than 25 years’ experience, customers can get Big Bertha tailored to their own needs,” Sam says.
